Max Supply

Max Supply

When creating the NFT template you can add advanced parameters to the JSON configuration, such as defining a maximum supply of NFTs created from the template.

You can define a maximum supply by adding the optional field maxSupply to your NFT template configuration. Default it is set to unlimited.

📘

Please note that maxSupply is configured, stored, and track on-chain, meaning once set it can not be altered.

🚧

When minting a token, the amount + current supply is checked against maxSupply., The currentSupply is only updated at the moment a tx is successful and confirmed.

Meaning, it is possible to submit a transaction to create a certain amount of an NFT which would surpass the max supply, only to see the transaction fail on-chain.
